This workshop is co-hosted and lead by one of the top experts in the industry, Julien Borde, owner of Pranamaya Freediving.  Julien has organized over 10 competitions, is a safety diver for events such as Vertical Blue, Caribbean Cup, AIDA World Championships, and more.

Expand your freediving skills repertoire with an AIDA Competition Safety certification!  Over two days we will be covering everything you will need to know to become the best freedive safety possible. The knowledge and skills acquired in this workshop are vital for anyone involved in organizing, officiating, or supporting freediving competitions, being a safety for training and deep dives, and is a MUST for freediving instructors.  Divers will learn about the importance of proper safety protocols, understanding potential risks associated with deep or competitive freediving, and developing quick and effective responses to emergencies in and under the water. The workshop emphasizes both theoretical and practical training, with hands-on simulations and scenario-based exercises to simulate real-life situations. By the end of the workshop, participants gain confidence in their ability to manage safety aspects during deep dive attempts and competitive freediving events, ensuring a secure environment for divers and athletes, while enabling them to push their limits in a controlled and supervised manner.
